The Queen and her King make TWO years today! And we couldn’t resist taking a sparkly little stroll down memory lane. 💫 From snorkeling and shell collecting to sunset sails and surprise proposals, this weekend was the sweetest reminder of a love story that started in the most magical way.

Before “I do,” there was the moment that started it all.

At sunset on a sailboat in Lake Pontchartrain, Hunter had one very important question for Jaime. With the breeze in her hair and the water reflecting the sky in cotton-candy colors, the Queen of Sparkles found Hunter down on one knee and instead of words, he popped the question by writing “Will you marry me?” in his sailboat’s log. ⛵️🌅

Jaime’s ring, true to Queen form, is a rainbow-hued dream. It’s crowned with her grandmother’s diamond and flanked by teardrop stones — a piece as timeless (and colorful) as their love. 💎🌈

Once the “yes” was official, it was time to celebrate! Jaime and Hunter kicked off wedding countdown mode with the ultimate engagement party — held on New Year’s Day 2023 at Beauvoir Park, surrounded by their favorite people, live music, and Louisiana flavor. 💃🦪

They rang in a new year and their next chapter with a feast of local favorites — including fresh chargrilled oysters from Mike Anderson’s (a true Baton Rouge delicacy 🐚🔥).

Naturally, Jaime showed up in something unforgettable: a custom vintage-inspired mini dress featuring a pop art sequin portrait of her and Hunter at Jazz Fest. 🎷✨ As big-time festival lovers, this moment stitched together the past, present, and all the music-filled memories to come.

Think feathers, sequins, soul food, and so many happy tears — the perfect prelude to forever.

The Wedding Weekend

After a sparkly Vegas bachelorette trip, it was time to gear up for the most colorful, joy-filled wedding weekend Cozumel has ever seen. From the very first moment, the couple made sure every guest felt like VIP royalty. The festivities kicked off with a warm welcome, literally. As guests arrived, they were greeted with a fresh margarita and invited to choose a vibrant woven beach bag filled with goodies. Inside? A plush towel, a perfectly packed recovery kit (think: sunscreen, Advil, gum, and all the essentials), and a custom Queen of Sparkles sequin sweatshirt made just for the occasion. Jaime set the tone in the best, most sparkly way: a custom white romper covered in playful shells, coral, and tropical fish—designed by the Queen herself. The best part? Every detail, from the tags to the towels, was branded with the couple’s wedding crest, proudly reading: El Capitán y La Reina. The tone was officially set for a weekend of sun, sparkle, and celebration.

Sunset Cruise

To kick off the weekend, guests were treated to a sunset cruise that felt straight out of a movie. With fresh guac, cheesy quesadillas, and cocktails flowing on deck, everyone set sail into a golden evening of celebration. The ocean sparkled, the sky turned every shade of pink and orange, and the vibes were simply unmatched. Jaime and Hunter soaked in the moment, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Jaime was a real-life sparkly Barbie in a vintage beaded mini dress adorned with coral, a sailboat, and other whimsical beachy icons. Because of course the bride was going to shine brighter than the sun. ✨☀️

Bridal Poolside Luncheon
Before the rehearsal dinner, Jaime and her bridesmaids took a well-deserved moment to slow down and soak it all in. They spent the day poolside, sipping cocktails, snacking on fresh fruit and parfaits, and just enjoying each other’s company in the Cozumel sun. The tables were set with rainbow polka dots (naturally), and each bridesmaid was gifted a personalized towel along with their wedding day getting-ready outfit.

Everyone wore their Queen of Sparkles coverup tee dresses in matching sandy neutrals with colorful sparkle details—while Jaime, of course, stood out in her custom bride coverup. It was laid-back, beautiful, and full of love—just like everything this weekend had to offer.

The Rehearsal

The next day was all about soaking up the sunshine and gearing up for a night full of love, laughter, and color. While guests lounged beachside, snorkeled in crystal-clear water, and indulged in all the local eats, Barbie was playing it cool... just moments before she completely stole the show. Jaime appeared in a custom Nardos dress covered in rainbow-hued mirrors that caught every flicker of light just right. Paired with a rainbow fringe handbag that somehow made the entire look even better. Hunter, fully embracing the vibe, wore a colorful button-down shirt that matched his bride-to-be’s energy perfectly.

That night, under a canopy of rainbow lights and swaying palms, guests gathered for the most vibrant rehearsal dinner Cozumel has ever seen. There were heartfelt speeches from family and the wedding party, plenty of laughs, and more than a few happy tears.

The Welcome Party

After the sweetest (and sparkliest) rehearsal dinner, it was time to turn things all the way up. Jaime and Hunter met the rest of their guests at a full-blown fiesta under the stars. Giant rainbow letters lit up the night, proudly spelling out “THE ODOMS,” and from that moment on—it was game over. The welcome party went all night long, and I’ve truly never seen a room (or rather, a tropical dance floor) full of happier people. New friendships formed instantly, families blended together effortlessly, and everyone celebrated with total joy and ease.

It might’ve had something to do with the music, the drinks, or the ocean breeze but let’s be real, it’s probably because the couple we were celebrating knows how to throw a party. Jaime and Hunter made everyone feel like they were part of the magic and that magic was only just beginning.

Wedding Morning
It’s finally here: wedding day! One last girls day before Jaime officially became Mrs. Odom, and naturally, it was as fabulous and full of feeling as you’d expect. The morning was a whirlwind of makeup brushes, tequila shots, happy tears, TikToks, and deep-breath moments. Jaime’s bridesmaids surprised her with a “Letters to the Bride” book that sent everyone into full meltdown mode and Hunter’s wedding day letter? Let’s just say it left puddles under the Queen.

In true Queen of Sparkles fashion, Jaime’s bridal party got ready in matching pink shell gauze button-up dresses, while the bride herself stood out in the same cover-up, but in crisp white. It was a picture-perfect pre-wedding moment.

Between the laughter, the glam, and the energy in the room, the excitement was palpable. And just when you thought your heart couldn’t take any more Jaime’s bridesmaids saw her in her dress for the first time and *the* moment happened. Screams. Tears. Goosebumps. The kind of reaction that tells you everything.

So with hearts racing and eyes misty... let’s cut to the church. 💒

The Ceremony

Guests were whisked away to a local church in Cozumel, one that holds a special place in Jaime and Hunter’s hearts. From the outside, rainbow streamers cascaded down the front entrance, giving passersby a very clear sign that something magical was about to happen. But the inside? I’ve never seen anything more breathtaking. The entire church was overflowing with vibrant rainbow florals. On the altar, along the aisles, draping the pews: it was like stepping into a living painting.

And because no detail was overlooked, each guest had a custom fan waiting at their seat (because let’s be honest, emotions and tropical humidity are no joke). Locals and pedestrians stopped in their tracks, trying to catch a glimpse of the spectacle.

When Jaime made her entrance, time stood still. Hunter had a puddle of tears at his feet by the time she reached the altar. Her gown was a custom Nardos creation, designed hand-in-hand with Nardos herself—colorful embroidery, delicate sparkle, and a silhouette that felt made for a modern fairytale. It was Jaime in dress form: whimsical, one-of-a-kind, and full of joy.

And of course, the exit wouldn’t be complete without a sweet surprise: a popsicle cart waiting just outside, decked out in El Capitán y La Reina branded stickers. Because… obviously.

The Parade

If you thought the ceremony was the grand finale, think again! The party was just getting started. As guests exited the church, they were welcomed into one of the most vibrant, joy-filled parades I’ve ever witnessed. Jaime and Hunter led the way, hand in hand, down the palm-lined entryway of the hotel with the entire wedding party following behind. The staff at El Presidente went above and beyond to make everything feel magical—this wasn't just a wedding, it was a full-blown celebration of life, love, and color.

The parade included everything: a real-life donkey dressed to the nines, a live mariachi band serenading the crowd, and towering mojigangas (those amazing giant bride and groom puppets!) dancing alongside the guests. Everyone was handed colorful streamers to wave in the air, and the energy was electric. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any more iconic, the wedding party lit up the sky with smoke bombs, sending a rainbow cloud billowing behind the newlyweds.

It was one of the most surreal, joyful, and cinematic things I’ve ever seen. Pure magic.

The Reception
Following the rainbow parade, guests made their way to the reception for a cocktail hour that felt straight out of a dream. The walkway was lined with vibrant rainbow rings, and each guest received a stunning alebrije (a colorful Mexican folk-art sculpture) as a wedding favor, because even the takeaways had to sparkle. Trays of beer, champagne, and margaritas floated through the crowd, setting the mood for what was about to be the most iconic night ever.

From the moment you stepped inside, it was sensory overload in the best way: a rainbow dance floor, rainbow décor, giant cutouts of their pups—Tiger, Valley, and LD—plus disco men and women, live DJs, face painters, and even fish hats (yes, really). It was like stepping into a high-fashion technicolor fever dream, and somehow it all felt so Jaime and Hunter.

As the night buzzed on, Jaime snuck away for a quick outfit change and returned in yet another custom Nardos creation—this one short, flirty, and full of shimmer. She shared a sweet, tear-jerking dance with her dad before Hunter joined her for their first dance as husband and wife. The crowd watched in awe.

And then? The floor opened. Jaime and Hunter invited everyone in and we danced like it was the last night on Earth. Shoes off. Voices lost. Sparkles everywhere. A night that didn’t just celebrate love—it redefined it.

To end the night, Jaime and Hunter shared one last drink beneath their glowing custom neon El Capitán y La Reina sign, and looked up as fireworks lit up the Cozumel sky. A perfect, sparkly finale to a wedding we’ll never forget.

Married, Sun-Kissed, and Still Celebrating
As the sun began to set on the most magical weekend, Jaime and Hunter—Mr. and Mrs. Odom—were still glowing (and not just from the tropical sun). Rocking their El Capitán y La Reina hats, the newlyweds proudly showed off their new bling at every turn, and their smiles somehow kept getting bigger.

From boat days to bar tours, from lazy beach hangs to snorkeling excursions led by the best guides you could ask for (ahem, Jaime and Hunter), the post-wedding glow was very real. One of the most beautiful moments of the weekend came as we wandered through town and happened to pass by the church where they had just been married. Out front, the team was handing out the wedding florals to the local community—every bouquet, every bloom, shared with joy. People stopped to build their own arrangements from the sea of flowers, and it was one of those moments that just hits you. It was love, full circle.

And somehow, every day continued to feel like magic. It wasn’t just a wedding—it was a full-on life experience.

Jaime is seen in a Queen of Sparkles 'Just Married' Tank Dress, Multi Under The Sea Set, and a custom Queen of Sparkles Queen All Over Tank Dress. Hunter is seen in his brand new button up that just landed on the site!
